2019 I developed stress acne. It was frustrating to say the least. 34 and having painful crazy acne is no fun. I thought my acne days were behind me in my teens and boy was I wrong. Originally, I thought I was having an allergic reaction and was reading every ingredient in anything I put on my face. But it wasn't going away. At one point I was doing a face mask everyday just to keep my breakouts at bay. It never fully cleared but I believed it helped keep it at bay. But the problem is it would work for like a week or so and then I'd get a new breakout.
I then started to research subdermal acne, as most of my breakouts started off that way. I eventually came across, Stress Acne, and that's when I realized my acne would flare up when I got stressed, my anxiety didn't help me not stress. So once I realized what it was I tried my best not to stress or put myself in stressful situations. I just had to let things go and not hold onto them. As I learned to "destress" and "let go" my acne started to clear up and my breakouts because few and far between. My skin is was clearer that its been in the last few months, so now my focus is on the hyperpigmentation. I really want to get my skin back to where it was in 2018, where I feel comfortable not wearing makeup.
